A whole new world for him. He tore up the pups today with his HMR but shot about 18 of 20 with his 223 AI. Deer better look out this year as he will be in the Montana Mentor program and his 223 AI likes the 55 grain Hornady SP.

Which one of you is having more fun, you or him?
Nothing like tuning your hunting rifle shooting on prairie dogs!!
That is great and I've used the .223AI/ 55 gr Hornady combo on deer.....you will like the results.

Get him as much practice as you can before season, but it looks like hes ready!
Geno hard to wipe the smile off of either of us. Kid is a lot of fun to be around.

Ingwe, he will be ready. He will most likely shoot about 3 bricks of 17 HMR's and a couple hundred 223 AI's before deer season.
My little guy (who’s now 10) started firing his first centre fire this summer also. I picked up an old 222 rem for him at the local gun show this spring. I have his grandfathers 300 savage ready for him but he’s not ready for it yet. Small steps.
