My son did well this year. His favorite firearm is his Henry Classic 22lr and that was the inspiration for his poster.

That's cool. Congrats to the young man!

I wish they would've had shooting sports when I was in 4-H.

Good for him!

My kids shot 4H SS. I was a 4H SS leader for a few years.

We didn't spend alot of time on that side of the fairgrounds. The wind was blowing from the pig barns!

Sweet, and congrats. That wasn't available when/where I was in 4H. The closest would have been a couple ancient single shot's available at 4H camp. Might have had something to do with living in Illinois. I did make it to National 4H Congress before it got canned. Chipped beef and baked potato was an interesting breakfast.

FWIW, an Uncle and cousin are both Alumni of Franklin College.

Thank you!

At least you live on the better end of IL. If I was forced to live in IL again I'd live south of 64.

This afternoon he received his $5 gift for making the poster. Someone told him the older kids who made something out of wood, etc got $20. Now he wants to build something for next year's project.

Thank you! His project was judged at the State Fair but we won't know how he fared until this Saturday when we drive up there. I'll post his results then.
