Anyone out there hunt Arkansas yet this season? I’m heading there in a few days we are curious at to the hunting conditions out there. Last year was the worst season ever. Hopefully this year will be more typical of what we experience in Arkansas.
Good luck out there. I hope it is much better than last year.
Where? Timber, Rice or watersheds?

Its patchy. Lots more bad days than good ones. If you are holding them, you better blaze them cause they ain't gonna be there long. Its hot in the south and its hot north of us. Duck counts are very low. Lots of light geese around.

Good luck.
We are hunting flooded timber. Our buddies out there are reporting descent numbers lately. I’m a bit worried about the rain and storms that are heading that way. The storms sometimes run the ducks out of the timber and into the rice fields.
Just got back from our Arkansas duck hunt. Duck numbers are certainly down in the eastern part of the state, with Stuttgart being the centerpiece. Nonetheless, we had two descent days of hunting flooded timber. Wood Duck numbers were down as well. I think Arkansas is suffering from a lack of cold weather up north, for the second straight year. Most of the mallards have been there a while and were pretty call shy.
