Took the M46 .177 pellet gun out again Saturday Afternoon (Honey do's all morning) at 5:30 and hunted until 8:00pm. I shot exactly 20 chucks...tried to get off that even number, but it got too dark and that was the final tally. 13 of the 20 were dead on the spot where I could actually walk up and see them. Shots ranged with my Bushnell Rangefinder were from 8 yards to 63 yards, with most being shot around 20 yards. I don't have any pictures and if you don't believe me........well if your in the area you're welcome to come with me. This little gun is an absolute hoot. It's weird to shoot and hear the little viberation then hear a pop when the pellet strikes. If you are even considering an adult air rifle - get one.

Great to hear you having so much fun with your airrifle.I have a R1 in .22 caliber and it is a great airrifle. But have not used it for hunting.Wish I could be in a place like you and put that R1 to such fun usage.

I am reminded that 50 years ago I was on my uncle's ranch in California and used his Benjamin Air Pistol to shoot very big grasshoppers. They were everywhere. I had to pump up the gun to use it. But I had lots of pellets. Didn't need to field dress a one of them, great fun.

I tell you, I have found the fountain of youth. This new pellet gun just puts a grin on my face that can't be washed off. I've shot dirt clods, leaves, cat tails, lizards and a variety of vermin - doesn't seem to matter what the target is, I'm having a ball. It makes me feel like I'm 12 year old again.
