Cold weather on CO2 cartridges? - 01/13/19
Would like to shoot my new Crosman Vigilante CO2 revolver this week, I live in Central TX and in the mornings this time of the year it is often 40 degrees or colder, in Minnesota when I lived there it can go down to 30 below in the Mpls area. I know that colder weather reduces the amount of shooting time you can get out of the CO2 cartridges, but wondering if 40 degrees would be a waste of time and money to go to the range. I could shoot inside but these CO2 guns are loud and I live in an apartment with several bad neighbors who would love to file a complaint on me with the landlord if they hear shooting.
Got me thinking, could a person shoot a CO2 pistol in someplace like Minnesota at 30 below, or even Siberia at 90 below? Surely our Norther folks, especially the Canadians have some experience with this?
Thanks.
