A friend has a couple of stainless Ruger Bisley Vaqueros worked by Oglesby for him while he was into cowboy action shooting. Might these be of significant collector value or just valued as used Vaqueros?
Just valued as used vaquero's to anyone outside the cowboy action community and even then someone would have to want a gun worked on by that particular gunsmith or have at least have knowledge of their work. Would be helpful to know what was done to the guns. Anymore anyone who changes out springs wants to hang out their shingle as a SASS gunsmith. To anyone outside SASS when you tell them they are SASS used guns they usually shy away because if the shooter was very active at all the guns have been shot a lot.
Thanks for the feedback. Useful information!
