Have they closed or dropped some models?
Posted By: Bricktop Re: USFA - 01/13/13
I had read somewhere that the principal owner of USFA is independently wealthy and decided to focus his business elsewhere, namely in the medical supply industry. We may see USFA reemerge after a hiatus of some length or simply fade away. I'm glad I bought my .44 Special SAA when I did.

There was a discussion of them on I believe, the Handguns forum awhile back. Maybe two weeks ago. Incredibly, they seem to have discontinued all models except some weird 22. Anyway, that's the way I remember it.

Yeah, check out their web site on that "weird .22". You're very correct with the use of the word, "weird". Personally, I don't see a market for such a device. And "device" seems a more appropriate description than "gun". And, I'm trying to be charitable, as I like USFA.

It's a zip gun.

Yeah, but what's a "zip gun" good for...?

And why would someone want to make those things and not high quality SAA's, etc..?

I have a USFA Lightning rifle in .38-40, a real high quality gun, and a couple of their SAA's. I hate to see them distracted by a zip gun.

I should have ordered when I wanted....MFers have folded up tents and are in the novelty firearm game now....I cannot see the correlation at all from SA to zipper...what ever that is! Sonofabitch!
