Knew Vern since 1974. He truly WAS an Ignace legend and all-around good guy. RIP Vern Dungey.

Vern's Minnows has been an iconic landmark in Ignace for many, many decades. Vern flew float plane to run his minnow traps, service outposts, etc and ran his shop...... Vern's Minnows was the first stop in town for countless thousands over the years who travelled a LONG way to fish the area. He was.....to MANY......the face of Ignace. He was a "do anything to help anybody out" kinda guy.
