Does the ammo I am bringing with me for my hunt this fall in BC have to be in the original box?
Can't imagine why. As long as the head stamp matches the rifle you have. Even the Canadian Customs must be that smart.. wink
no it doesn't, and they (customs) won't care about headstamp either.

If you will be flying Air Canada once you arrive, they have their requirements on their website http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelinfo/airport/baggage/security.html#-firearms
4 trips, & they've never looked at the ammo, either goin' or coming back. Come to think of it, I don't think the Canadians even bothered to verify the s/n on my rifles even once. Rest assured that the US side will do so.

I flew into Kalispell, & crossed at Roosville. We'd stop at the US side before crossing over, just to make sure we'd have the paperwork filled out just the way they wanted it, for our return.

Whatcha huntin'?

Sounds good, I didn't think so but thought I would double check.
Thanks

It's sad to say but it is us Canadians that are getting the short stick. Our customs dont care about bringing ammo or loading equipment across the border or firearms for the purpose of hunting target shooting. Just make sure you check with the Amarican side for all requiered paper work
