Hi,

I have an opportunity to deer hunt with a friend in southeast Ontario this year in an unguided hunt (no outfitter) on private property. I checked the regs and there is no reason I should not be able to buy a license. The problem is where do I buy it. I did not see a reference to on-line purchase. Do I have to buy from an authorized vendor face to face? I would appreciate any information.

Thanks
Service Ontario & not cheap !!

You will also need to check out the no outfitter thing !

Lots of Ontario, where, as a non resident, you can only hunt with an employed guide !!

The use, or otherwise of an outfitter is mandatory in certain WMU's. You'll need to check with Service Ontario, based on the Wildlife Management Unit you intend to hunt.
NE, welcome to the 'fire. Paul is right, of course. I'd like to hunt Ontario myself someday. I've fished it since 1949.

Keep doing the homework, I think the license fee, and buying it will be the simple part.

Thanks for the responses. I think I am OK as far as the outfitter requirement goes. Finding the link to buy a license is somewhat more difficult but I think I may have found the link. There are lots of hoops and lots of fees.
