I just got back from town after buying a new tape recorder. I never owned one before, but the sound is supposed to be amazing.

I guess my age is showing, but I never knew Scotland made high fidelity audio equipment. The young clerk tried to snooker me. He wanted to sell me this tape recorder for $600, but I laughed at him and offered $400. He took it. I also insisted that it be gift wrapped. He grumbled, but did as he was told. You have to wake up pretty early in the morning to outsmart an old trader like me!
