Anybody reloading a 260ai ? Looking for load data for a shorter barrel , 21" . Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks , Bob .
Really ? Nobody shoots a 260ai ?
Be patient Bob. This particular forum doesn't seem to get a whole lot of traffic, but I'll betcha someone will pipe up eventually.
Lots of info on the intermojet. Here is some I trust:

Sagerunner,
I'd post this in the "Big Game" section rather than here in the "Reloading Software" section.
I'd bet good money you'll get more info.
I have built 3, still running one with a 20" barrel. R17 is your powder. I use only 2 bullets these days in mine; 140 Sierra Game Kings and 108 Lapua Scenars (coyotes). This is a trued and rebarreled Remington Mountain rifle. Fireforming brass is a PITA. I ought to order some hydraulic forming dies from Whidden.
Sagerunner; Have you even done a Google search for " 260 AI Load Data"?
dennisinaz: Why are you having a problem with fireforming brass. The only thing that could be a problem would be is the person that chambered the barrel didn't know what they were doing,
Sagerunner, I handload 260AI for my Rem. 700 mountain rifle with a 22” bbl. and for my XP-100R with a 14” bbl. For my mountain rifle I load a Nosler 120 BT, 46.0 gr. of H4350. For my XP-100R I load 130 Berger hunting, 44.0 gr. of H4350. Can use IMR4350 also.
My brass is Lapua .243 necked up to .264, fireformed to 260AI. PM me if you need additional information. Hope this helps. MTGu
I shoot 2 of them and like Dennis I burn RL 17 with 123 SST, and 123 Lapua at 3090 fps
Steve "Dogzapper" Timm wrote an article on the 260AI that appeared in Varmint Hunter magazine back in 2001.
I haven't found a better powder than R17 but some may claim it is too temperature sensitive etc. I get great velocities and great accuracy.
