Talked with my hunting buddy/ dog trainer this evening for a bit.
Finn is finally starting to relax and settle in some now.
He is walking on a leash better, but wears a spike collar.
Dave said he is huge, and a very powerful dog.
He would hurt me if he were to break, and I tried to hold him.
He's on the table now, learning "Hold".
Dave is also having to keep a bark collar on him, and he won't stop barking. He said he is doing well, and is a soft dog, but takes pressure well.
I asked him straight up,
"He gonna make a duck dog ?" And said with enthusiasm, "yes" !!
He will be in school til around October.
I can't handle his size after I get my back operated on, so it's a good thing, he won't be here.
The day he left for school. 7 months old in this pic.

Handsome fella you got there! I've moved on from Labs and hunt Boykins now, but I always liked the Yellow guys. I better go hide from the "Black Dog Mafia" now. Good luck and happy hunting in the future with your boy and may the ducks be plentiful!
He’s beautiful!
Thank you.
