I was hoping to see something like this when I logged on this morning! laugh

This is THE BEST!

Congrats! I love the name and the duck toy grin

Mannnnn...if they only knew the hopes and dreams that rested on their little shoulders!
Congrats. Good times on the way.
Yea!
So glad it all went well. She is a cutie.
Keep us updated as she progresses in life.
Im doing my thread kinda like that. Its kinda neet to see trap now, after just 3 months of having him, with how he has gone from a skittish young dog, to greeting people, and blending into the family.

All the best and enjoy her.
Hot damn!!!!!!

Abigail is a looker for sure!

Thanks, yes she is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Here is a photo of her predecessor.

Ingwe is correct -- not nearly cute enough, send her back!

A good friend of mine in Canada has a Nova Scotia Tolling Retriever. I think your dog looks every bit as vicious and ugly as his Toller! wink

She looks like one of those rare dogs that really have the wheels turning in her head....

If I had that puppy, I would be walking it all around the town.

Even a guy that looks like me could pick up a hot Swedish chick with a puppy that cute...

I know, but they look to be a cool looking amber color.
Trying, just not many Swedish women around! grin
Yep! I'm still a sucker for that puppy!

A bundle of endless curiosity!

DANG!!! I wish you would quit this!

I have too many dogs already but I probably need...........

uhu...and intervention.

You're like a pusher to an addict. grin
Well, this one is a smart one. Today, I have had her two weeks, headed out to the deer lease with a friend and left her home. She had the run of the kitchen, doggie door and backyard. After being gone 6 hours, she had no accidents and is using the door on her own!

Luv2,

I am more of an enabler, this should help you! grin

She is a good traveler!

I'm thinking she has some natural ability! grin

Too kool for skool! laugh

Keep the pics coming!

One of my students has three tollers....gonna bring them to class when they are in town for a dog show next month!
Great pics.
She is a cute puppy and really smart. Looks like your gonna have a partner for quite some time to share life with.
Left her at home when you went to the deer lease! !!!
Bad dad.....
I find it very hard to go to work without my trap.go to the lake or? without him! !!

Nope.
Take her with everywhere. The bond just gets stronger.
Normally, I would take her to the lease. But she didn't have all her shots, it was hot and we had too much work to get done.

She is with my all the time, at my shop even at the gym!

[Linked Image]
She is looking more and more like what Dober would call " Model Perfecto" grin
Looks like I will have a drinking partner, for after the hunts!

laugh
"What is this place and what is she doing with that huge needle?"

I took a pic of Rommel on his first official visit to the vet ( I take him in all the time for socialization, saves them, and me alot of greif later) and sent a copy to the breeder and titled it " Rommel's First Vet Visit, and his first bite"

Scared the crap out of them till they found out I put him on a puppy bite sleeve the same day. grin
Latest pic of my 'baby'.....

I hate to ask this for fear of getting an answer I do not want to hear but how is Ingwedog? 15 years old, if I recall correctly.

Neatest-looking dog, and of course any dog smart enough to do Ingwe's taxes just has to command respect....

John
Ingwedog is remarkably good for 15...still gets around well, is completely deaf and gradually losing her vision, but still has enough to follow hand signals. Still has her character and personality.
Had a scare when she got really sick a couple weeks ago, but she got through it. We shared so much of life together its gonna be a bad day when its over.

Pic from a few years ago..wish we had it to do all over again....

[Linked Image]
Glad to hear that!

John
Abigail,is going to be a good duck dog for the cold!

Been wondering about Abby.... grin
Just scrolled to the top of the page when I posted that last post...odd timing, within a week of that post, Ingwedog was gone...

If you have half the adventures with Abby that we had, you will be a lucky, lucky man....
I hope to have many years with this mutt! grin

Had her out at my lease a couple of weeks ago...she is a little gun wary, but I know with time and patience she will be ok.

After a little work and getting her excited about a duck, it finally clicked on what she needed to do!

Hanging out on Dad's bed!

After two long days of play in the wild...a little tuckered!

She is looking good! laugh
Got her out yesterday morning for some duck hunting. I held her and my buddy shot the few birds that came in. Little nervous at the first shots, but seemed to get over it, once the excitement of retrieving the birds kicked in! Though she is still a little hesitant about entering the water.

[Linked Image]
She is coming along great. Give her some time, she'll be just fine.
Pretty girl!
