I’m starting the search for a Griffon stud for my female. We are a ways from wanted to breed as we want the full kennel built at our place we are building first. Our female is amazing with a great pedigree and even the field trainer was impressed with her. We are going to be picky and plan to have to travel to find the right male. Anyone have any good leads?

These links are probably a good start:

https://www.awpga.com/

Also, check with the person you purchased your dog from since it has "a great pedigree", your trainer, your Veterinarian and local gun dog club leadership for leads. Good luck on your search.

I forgot to add this one to the above links.

Griffons are great dogs for the field and at home. Good luck.

We bred Giffs for a decade, our boy finally passed in '16 at almost 16 y/o. Our b!tch passed a year later.
Let me look at my files and see if I can find some good sources.

Our "Alf" was the smartest animal of any kind that we've ever seen, the intelligence was insane. Biased, I know, but it's true.

Im aware of how to search the internet and speak to my trainer and breader I got the dog from, I’m not completely helpless... I’m looking for someone that knows of a great male Griff and it appears you know of none at all, but thanks. Most kennels will only give partial papers as to not taint the bloodline and I’m just looking for a great male that will have full papers.

Thanks for the input, I was given their name by someone local who has a tie to them. They don’t offer a stud service with full papers from what I’ve been told, but thank you!

MK7mmstw, sorry I insulted your intelligence. I was going to share with you the contacts of three top WPG national champion studs but I thought your breeder and trainer already passed on those names to you. Good luck
Just what are "partial papers"? That is a new one for me. And how would not giving out "the papers" prevent tainted bloodlines? That too, is not something I have heard before.
Yup never heard of partial papers and how does papers have anything to do with tainting bloodlines? So you want advice from people you don't know to help find you a Stud? Hmmm and you get upset for people giving you the information they have. Must be tough being you.

My Daughter has one. “Dewey” and he is a great Dog. You will get full papers and if you ask nice she will probably give you his also. Hope this helps. PM if so.

Wait, he doesn’t have his nuts. Sorry, I tried.

He breeds griffs and is a long time Navhda judge. Got my griff from him

Great dog. If you have a litter might be interested picking up a male.
