I’m going to do this hunt one day. Horia is bringing my own rifle into Romania difficult?
Wow
Dracula my A$$!... I'd like to see Nosferatu!
I want to come and sightsee around Romania when all the vaccination and mask hysteria is over, Don't require any special meals. Maybe a little wine, not much. Would like to bring my wife if we aren't going to be away from sit down restrooms all day. Otherwise I'll bring my son or brother in law.

Would enjoy seeing the wildlife. Don't care to shoot a deer, can do that in my backyard.

NO . Is very simple !
What is the process of getting Romanian cash for U.S. dollars and not being cheated? Are there banks that would do that in your area?

That's a really nice buck!!!
+1 great buck.
I just got back from Romania. I will avoid that country in the future even though the hunting was great and sightseeing was awesome. Seems you need a "special paper" from the Border Police to hunt with you own rifle. Except the Border Police refused to issue the "special paper" so kept my rifle at the airport for the duration of my visit. I suspect the "special paper" had a $20 or $50 number on it but I don't know. I avoid countries where I can't hunt with my own rifle.

Did you had from the hunting area where you been "an invite" that contained the details of your gun ?
..if not ....was not the border police problem was the outfitter problem because did not give you all the information that you need it. I had a lot of US hunter that was here with their own guns and the time spent with the border police was not more than 10 min ....you can ask them here
I had letter of invite. Also submitted US hunting license, 4457, and all the details of the rifle. this was not fault of outfitter.

The outfitter followed up with the Border Police next day. He was told "they don't have to give a reason". My take is it's all BS!
if you had all of this you should have no pb ...
until now I had no pb like this myself
