Can you guys still purchase Lapua 300 win mag brass?

I recently found a box of 100 at an old gun shop. Ten rounds were loaded, and the rest were brand new. I nearly broke my fingers getting my wallet out of my pocket. grin

Sorry, no.

Just lucky pick ups once in a while.

Norma brass is available.

I much prefer Winchester brass to Norma. The Norma brass I have tried is very soft.
I cant believe that Lapua wouldnt sell 300 win mag brass in Europe. At the least in Finland.
The 300 win mag not very popular in Europe?

As hunting cartridges go, the .30-06 rules sales by wide margin.

That said, the .300 WM has a strong following. I think, and that is just an assumption, reloading is not as strong overhere as in the States.

This I judge by the fact - that most components we are sold here are of US manufacture/brands.

Most cases I use are i.e. Remington brass or Winchester - even for euro cartridges like the 8x57IS.

Talk about weird. crazy

Cooperate thinking and markets, I guess...

for normal hunters that own one or two rifles at most, and buy ammo over the counter, no.

Lapua doesn't favor belted magnum brass so it's a no go for 300WM. They used to manufacture 300WM brass so with some luck, small batches might resurface every now and then.

Last summer I saw some (80's? 90's?) Lapua stamped 7mm Rem Mag brass. Talk about rare. We were shooting the rifle over a chrony and the load was 3200 fps for 168 gr Bergers using VV N165, with drops at 1100yd+ matching the indicated velocities. Sure, they were "stiff bolt" loads in that Tikka M65 but I'm pretty sure my Weatherby rifle & Norma brass would've locked up solid under loads like that. I start to get a stiff bolt at 3000 fps with N165 (26" barrel).
