Could anyone possibly tell me the machine screw size for the front, flush mount, sling swivel on a Mod 70 please?
I ordered a set of the Dakota mounts & they came with 4 wood screws. I need to replace 2 of them with machine screws & bushings, but i'm damned if i'm paying $30 for 2 nuts & bolts for originals. My local hardware store will have suitable replacements i'm sure!

Wisner's Gun parts has the machine screw & nut for front super grade base. Their part # 13370A @ $4.00 ea..

Ohhhh man, thank you! I couldn't even figure out what to search for & the only thing i'd found were $9.99 for the screw & $4.99 for the threaded insert!

Wisner's has several items for pre'64 M/70's, they've been in business for years and their reproduction items are very high quality.

Pretty sure the pre64 and post 64 screws are different, the bases are different/not interchangeable.
