I've always wanted one for the collection. My lgs put one out today, a 410. Turns out it was reblued. The red lettering is more of a dark red than the original vibrant red. Anyway, only the red letters had the winchester engraving on the bottom of the receiver correct? Or did they still do the engraving for a few more years and just stop doing the red? Its an older rebluing but has just enough age/wear that it actually looks nice and not too "new" or over done. The gun is solid, nice and tight....I'm certainly interested. What kind of value do you think considering the reblue job and is there anything else I need to check on it?

Thanks for the help.

No personal experience, but word has it that there are a lot of fakes out there.
Thats why i asked if the winchester engraving on bottom of reciever was was unique to the red letters. I heard once it wasnt but im not sure
I thought all with the engraving were red letters
