I have an old 94 marked .30 Winchester centerfire! The rear sight needs replaced. It is the folding style, leaf when down and lifts to vertical, with a small slide for elevation. My uncle gave me the rifle, and said his horse rolled over on it when it went, rodeo on a trail in the Wallowa Mts, before WW2. To the point, is this an original Winchester sight, or aftermarket! Can they still be aquired? I haven't seen one for sale on line! Any help is greatly appreciated!

There was such a Winchester sight as you generally describe, fairly common on 94 carbines. Reliable determination whether yours is of original pattern, would require a good photo or two for reasonable determination. Also partial serial number with "x" placeholders, to determine if it was era appropriate if such your question. Beyond, I'd better leave replacement possibility questions to others here. I can tell you...

Just as teachers have routinely rejected the "dog ate my homework" excuse. So Winchester reputedly denied warranty claims rejecting the "horse rolled on my sight excuse!" smile smile smile

Thanks for your reply! I found pictures of the sight last night. Looks like it original! Now I'm searching for another sight!
