Hi all
Im new to the forum here. I thought you might appreciate seeing my Winchester Model 1873 in 38 WCF. It is factory inscribed Mathieson Alkali Works, Saltville VA”.
Mathieson went on many years later to be the Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp.

That's Outstanding! Was this something handed down to you?
Or a Lucky find? If you don't mind me asking.
My family is from that area. Very interesting.

I shared it on the WACA forum about 10 years ago.
Also, sorry for bumping an ancient post
