Hi all, I am considering letting my Classic in 270 Weatherby mag go, but not sure what they are going for. It is in excellent shape, CRF from 1996. I bought it from the original owner several years ago and it has been a safe queen it's whole life. I have looked on Gunbroker and can't find any completed sales and respect the opinions on this site. Looking for a starting point on what to ask for it. Thanks, MH
Sweet rifle. I'm assuming you are going to sell without the scope? That's a $1,200.00 rifle most days. You can possibly get $200 out of the old gloss Redfield scope. The mounts and rings another $30.00. That rifle and scope combo would look so much better with a set of DD's. Now, you are saying, well if I add everything up, I could sell the whole package for $1,400.00+. Not likely, as the scope does not add much value to the rifle. Also, you have to be selective about where you list it. List it here and you will likely sit on it for a while at $1,200.00. List it on GB, and it may sell for $1,400.00. It totally depends on the market, and who's looking at that exact moment in time. Pretty sweet rifle in a more rare configuration and likely a 6 digit classic, which makes it one of the more desirable classics. Good luck with what ever route you take, if you decide to sell it.
