A couple 22 pumps and a very high condition M60A Target, original Kerr sling and all here.

There is just something "American" about a 22 rifle. Have a 22-rifle leaning in the corner 24/7/365 loaded with CCI birdshot for pests around the homestead.

Cool seeing the old Winchester 22 rifles there. I've been on a 22 kick lately. Been eyeballing some nice older Winchesters locally, but have not bought any. Waiting for that elusive 52 sporter original to be on a rack somewhere for cheap!!! It won't happen, but a guy can dream!!!

I just bought it. Haven’t been able to shoot it yet.
Last year grooved receiver gun. I think I got a pretty good deal and had been wanting a grooved receiver but figured I would settle for a smooth receiver.

Never seen a 63. Very nice. My 77 is the tube fed version. I know where a magazine fed version is but they are asking 425 and just can't justify it.

My 77 is also a tube fed. I need a new tube magazine for it.
What I see is the tube fed run more $ than the magazine version.

I let a very clean 47 be bought by my father and had a 62 “for shot only”!!! Get sold out from under me.

Those two and a 1903 deluxe are the three that have eluded me (for a bearable price point).

My problem has always been retention. SeemsI end up turning them, I price them high and set ip at gun shows. I
This past year I sold a very nice 69A, 62a, 52b, and a 67.
I keep hoping to find a 75 sporter at a decent price along with a 61 magnum. I know where the magnum is and the old guy says I can buy it one of these days. I won’t hold my breath

Weird you would prefer the 75? The 52's are made better. Seem to be more robust, and smooth as hell. The 69 and 75, not so much..

Beautiful Winchesters gentlemen. I'll try to assemble my group for a family portrait in the next few days. So, what's your favorite to shoot? I really like my 69 and my Model 57 is a sweet shooter as well.

The 63 is a dainty little beauty. The 52 is a B. The fiery stocked lever gun is a 9422 in 22s,l,lr. The pics don’t do that one justice!

I know its weird. I guess its that it was the first Winchester target rifle I had. Its lighter and I didnt find the accuracy any better with the 52( or my 513). Now if it was a sporter that might be a different story. I know where there is a 52b sporter that I have been lusting after. I think I may try and make a deal on that one.
I wouldnt mind a 52 sporter in the safe remake or original.

Geez you people have nice collections and displays. Mine just get buried in the safes and "rediscovered" every 5-10 years.

I really like my 52 sporter, but the trigger is not nearly as nice as the old '49 model B target rifle. I don't have the collection some of you guys do, but I sure do enjoy shooting them:


I didn't really want to compare them side by side, because my favorite is my old '49. That rifle is so smooth. I only shot a couple groups with the iron sighted 52B that day, and then put it away:


Those are 10 shot groups. The 52 sporter is a great shooter, but I think it got a little shook up, having its granddad sitting next to it on the bench!!



The old iron sight rifle put a little whoopin on the youngster. The nice thing about it is, I just keep the rifles right where they are on the bench. I shoot the irons right handed, and the scoped rifles left handed.


The only other Winchester rimfire in the arsenal is a new to me model 320. I'm really loving that rifle:

I call that one my miniature model 70... It's nice and light, and it also shoots pretty dang well too:


Like I was telling my girlfriend, there are other guys like me. They put target sights on rifles like this, when they shoot really well. This one was set up with a rear aperture at one time, and still has the front lyman target sight on it. Non original of course, but a tell tale sign of a "sleeper". Generally when I run across rifles like this, I snag them because I know they are going to shoot well.

The 52 sporter above was the same way when I got it: Set up with irons...



I pulled the rear aperture sight off, and put filler screws in the holes and scoped it, since I already have the 52B target model. The Japanese did a fine job on that rifle. I have no complaints.

I don’t mind target sights either on a sporter. I will probably have to add one to my Rem 513 S. Been looking for a stith mount ring to add a scope but they are far and few between.

Thanks buddy. A 513S would be damn cool. One of my buddies has a 513T, and that one shoots very well. The Sporter version is much more trim and attractive looking though. Harder to find too!!

Yeah, I had never seen a 320 out in the wild either. When I first saw it, hanging on the wall, I thought to myself, that looks like a miniature model 70. Didn't realize it was a Winchester until I pulled it down to look at it.

I didn't even know about them, until I researched them a little, after seeing it there. It sure was calling my name though. Very happy that I bought it. If I found another one, I'd buy it. This one was $374.95.. They lowered the price a little for me, as they wanted $400... He said he was not making any money on it, but I'm a good customer...

I'll play, a low wall ordered in 1891 in 25 Winchester then rebarreled in 1908 by Winchester to .22LR. ( I lettered it and it shows it was returned to the factory in 1908, I assume the barrel).

Nice collection of Winchester 22s. I have had or still own some of those models. Some I traded off for something else and wish I had it back. Got grandfathers 67 with the finger groove stock. A 68 that I gave $10 for when I was 13. An older kid in my neighborhood got a Yamaha street bike that
needed gas. Collected Winchester single shots back when they were cheap and everyone wanted semi automatics. Had model 37 Winchester shotguns in the mix. Had a 74 that I found in my smith’s trash can. Only problem was that it was fully automatic. Had a 75 for my son and we traded it on a nice LeFever 16 gauge double on his 16th birthday. He read Roark’s “The Old Man and the Boy too many times. Several years back I found a 69a that had been found behind the back seat of a Ford pickup in a junkyard. I am restoring it. I shot the 52 D in ARNG 3 position small bore competition. I had a 320 that I traded off to my son for his heavy to him CZ 452 Trainer. The 320 was my main squirrel rifle and shot groups like yours. The son had used the 320 growing up and wanted it for sentimental reasons. Did have 4-5 67’s that I gave to my sons. Still have some 37’s in 12 and 16 gauges. Had a 410 that I bought my middle son. I t didn’t have an extractor so we got a “church key” (old timey beer can opener) that we tied a string to it and the trigger guard. He used it forever like that. He finally had his smith to put in an extractor and it cost $35 as much as I paid for it in a pawn shop. Great memories from your post.
