Thanks. I found one last year and snapped it up.

I had never seen one except pics, but I knew what it was and grabbed it in a heartbeat.

Wonder what amazing tales that old (built 1950) girl could tell us.

I've got one made in the mid 50s , heavy suckers but they're great shotguns

Lovely one. With heavy duck loads, the extra weight is a good trade-off, unless you're carrying it through a marsh to the blind.

The weight is almost unbelievable. There was one on the rack at the LGS a month or so ago marked $599, I picked it up and put it back and thought about how little I'd enjoy carrying it around.

This is mine empty , 30" full , vent rib and still has the factory lead weight in the stock.

Mine hasn’t left the safe after the feds required steel shot.
I have one with the solid rib. I like it very much and used to shoot it often for birds, lately, not so much.. I need to get it out and give it a run.

I have two Heavy Duck guns; both F/C 32 in guns-one with a solid rib. The only double that can
effectively use the modern HeviShot tungsten 3in #4s are the Model 12s and a re-stocked
Fox HE 1926 3IN Super Fox. The HS tungsten load #4s are rated at 1450 fps. That is a bit much
for almost all older double gun stocks.
