I need help finding the year my winchester 375H&H rifle was built.
Its serial number is G615XX.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Is this a classic or an older model? Can't seem to find that number.
Its a super express built I think around 1989-90 with a crf action,,,not pushfeed.
Old Factory box is white with Red lettering.
Thanks for the help!
It looks just like this one except mine has much better wood!

Yes,I checked 3 times, even the one in the link is G6xxxx,,whats so odd about the number?
I have already seen that link, thats why iam here asking for help..LOL..I think my rifle is even earlier than the serial numbers indicate, like unlisted...what year did Winchester quit using white gun boxes and start using red ones like the rifle in the linky? If my rifle was made after 1992 it would have a red box right?
I have 3 classic 270's made in the late 90's with the white box.
Regardless, the CRF action was re-introduced in 1992. After that, those serial #'s are hard to track and almost a guessing game..
I read you have to call winchester and they can tell you when the rifle was made...
Thanks!
I would never call the new plant,I only consider the "old plant REAL Winchesters"
Uh wth does that have to do with getting the yr your rifles was made? Your running around saying your rifle was made in 89-90 when its a fact they retooled under new management in 1992. In 1992 the classic featherwieght was made in the crf. Then in 1994 the CRF is brought back I would bet BSA pre-64 alaskan that your was made in 94 due to it being a 5 digit classic. But i would call winchester if you want to truly know or just keep running around saying it was made in 89. Enjoy your rifle i have stainless/ synthetic in a 375 h&h, i also have blued classic sporter in a left handed model 70.
It was built in 89-90 ....wtf r u talking about
ok ...first one off the line in '92
I've yet to find one with earlier numbers
That's my story and iam sticking 2it!
How about a few pics of the rifle?
I thought this .375 H&H was made in the late 70's or early 80's,turns out it was made in 1989 according to the serial #.
I have a model 70 classic sn 61328 its a crf as well mine has a lower sn than yours and it was made in 94 it was one of the first runs not the limited run they did in 92... In 89 usrac went bankrupt
That .375 is a push-feed and the sn is G1975XXX so it was one of the last before USRAC went belly up.
Thanks BSA,took it black bear hunting a couple weeks ago,but no bear.

Oops that was meant for the OP
Well I've got a Model 70 Classic with a G16XXX five digit serial number. But it is in .270 Winchester and everyone knows that caliber is useless.
Holy smokes a 16xxx digit classic
Yep. It is now wearing a Lilja barrel, but I kept the caliber the same.
Surely you jest because it is one of the "basics".
