Disclaimer: I do not know the person or the rifle or anything about either. I thought it might be interesting to some on this forum is the only reason I posted this.

The rifle is overpriced and there is no collector interest because of the recoil pad and side mount holes. Why anyone would put a sidemount on a rifle that is tapped on top is beyond me.
Yeah, but those see through mounts are uber.
The term "Ways to kill an otherwise nice rifle" come to mind.

I can't tell you the number of 88s I've handled and or looked at with recoil pads on them with premium price tags attached. I just walk away shaking my head.

The 358 would be great, but dang that one has some issues and at $2500, I wouldn't walk away, I'd run.
I live in GA and this site shows more overpriced guns than any other place I've seen. Plain Parker SxS...ruined by a recoil pad, $7,500. LC Smith 12 ga with no finish remaining, $1,500...and the list goes on and on. Plain Jane Rem 700's, $900 and up....Good Lord.
Geeze... Those are higher prices than some the crap I see on GON.
Good luck on that one.
