I'm still saying it's going to bring $1,100.00. The seller probably has some ridiculous reserve on it though.

I paid that for mine in August 2016. It was unfired, no box.
Probably nuts, but there you go!
Gave considerable less for mine in the Walnut stock but it may have been longer ago than I recollect. Was during the Obama rule.

Bolt handle's on the wrong side to be worth that much.
Well, no one bought it. High bid was $1,000.00
Not surprised, a .308W is the red headed step-child. Foolish as that may be. A poster recently let an essentially unused pre 70 FWT .308W get away for the same price. If I didn’t already have 2 .308W’s, I would have been haggling on this one.
Lot of people scratched that itch with a Montana....
Lot of people scratched that itch with a Montana....
And a few of us have both.
Relisted with a buy now of $1050
Somebody better jump, it won't last the night!
Hard to tell. 5 or 6 digit?

I think it’s a 6 digit.
Brad is correct, a 6 digit and one of the most desirable and hard-to-find s/s classics, indeed. Good buy there Bobmar.
Mine, dropped in a McMillan Hunters Edge w/ PT&G Al bottom metal...
Well done sir. Very well done!

Way overpriced, and not a fan of the seller.
Would add, the same rifle sold, with a Leupold 3.5-10x40, for around $1000 a couple weeks back.
"Inspection/ Return Policy
AS IS - No refund or exchange"
No 3 to 5 day inspection/evaluation, without knowing the seller? Some of you are much more trusting than I.

There are a couple down there in Elizabethton TN who sure do a lot of flipping ...

nice rifle!!!!!!
Dang just what I was looking for. If anybody comes across another PM me.
That's a dandy Brad!
I guess I'm just not that big a 308 fan. The Walnut jobbie is a real looker.

He takes poor photos that can't be enlarged to see good detail and overstates condition while charging a premium.
Thanks Mooshoo and Cowhand. It's a great shooter too.
Makes me wish I'd held onto my stainless/walnut .308 Featherweight!
I wouldn't sell mine for $1399!
I wouldn't sell mine for $1399!
Me neither. It's one of just a hand full that couldn't be bought.
Mine is blue instead of stainless but I wouldn't sell it, period!
The current bidder sees value in it, he just sold the last one for $1399...

Brad,
I've always liked these pics of that rifle.!
I wonder what mine are worth? I wouldn't ever sell them however. Model 70 stainless classics in 30.06 and .375 H&H magnum. I've killed a lot of critters with both.

Well, in case you missed it the first time around and didn’t bid on it, here is your chance. And no pesky auction either.

Somebody nailed it.
What's the bad vibe on Elizabethton?
Yeah I'm curous too, I bought one out've there two weeks ago. A stainless classic featherweight in 06 NIB. It was bought by them on gunbroker from my local gun shop and I tracked it down. LOL They made $350 flipping it but I had to have it. HAHA
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/780488259Here's one with a BOSS for $895 shipped. Stock looks like it might be a sporter contour,

Makes me wish I'd have hung onto my 6.5 Sweede, stainless/walnut Featherweight!
I wouldn't sell mine for $1399!
Details on the stock/rifle please? Great looking rifle!!
I ran into a SS New Haven 7mm-08 in the ultimate shadow and as I recall it was 499. It had no box and was unfired. I should have bought the darn thing and I know it is still sitting at that shop.

I ended up taking home a Stainless M70 XTR instead New Old Stock for 50 bucks more. Next time I go down there I will buy it , it is a 2 hour drive each way and it is new Old stock as well.
I wouldn't sell mine for $1399!

Thanks - it's a Classic SS Fwt 308 in a McMillan G&H stock with Williams SS bottom metal.
If it's a classic, I like it. The oldstyle trigger and its simplicity wins out every time vs. the MOA for me. Plus the older rifles were still made in the good ol USA!!!!!!!!!
