Was this first a 30-06 then re-chambered for 308 Norma Mag?
Or did this come from the factory as a 308 Norma mag? Perhaps action for 308 added? I have no clue.

It's a .30-06 re-chambered to .308 Norma Magnum. It was a popular conversion in the '50s for people who wanted a .30 caliber magnum on a .30-06 length action.
