My wife's grandfather gave me an unfired 1894 '66 Centenial. It doesn't have the gun tag, but it has the warranty paperwork, original box and sleeve. It's been cycled. There are some small, very faint areas on the edges of the octagonal barrel where the bluing shows where it was stored in a rack, and the buttstock has some obvious handling marks.

He told me he didn't care if I kept it, sold it, or shot it.

I'm inclined to shoot the thing and enjoy the hell out of it, but I don't know much about the value of it.

I do know it was one of the most, if not THE most, mass produced commemorative 1894s...but that's about it.

What should I do?
I paid $450 for mine, mine had a few handling marks but unfired, no box, sleeve or paperwork. Not sure if that gives an honest value estimate, but that's what I had into it.
shoot the hell out of it
Thanks, y’all.

Looks like I’m gonna shoot the hell out of it and enjoy it.
Shoot it !

Shoot it or sell it.
