Hello all, usually post on the Savage forum,,,,Picked up a nice Pre safety Big Bore 94 XTR in 375 win, still new in box with papers. Just wondering how much collector interest there is in these ?. Only picked this one up locally cause it has beautiful wood and gorgeous deep blue and the price was right.. Fit and finish seems top notch. Think it was made in the 80's It seems the 375 win are the most common caliber. Just thinking about maybe getting some of the other calibers also. Any input on these would be appreciated. Thanks.
Pics would be sweet as hell on a thread like this. Would it happen to look like this one?

It was made in 1979

These are great rifles. The last one I saw at a gunshow (a couple months ago) was immaculate and the guy wanted $850.00 for it. It was an early one as well...
That's a damn woods hammer Big Buddy, I have it's little brother in a Legendary Frontiersman in 38-55, 260-265gr Cast Performance or Beartooth flat nosed gas check bullets at 1855 fps is one hell of a hole puncher, accurate too, I also run a Lyman receiver peep.
They are damn nice rifles buddy. Is the op going to post pics?
Thanks for the replies guys, Give me a couple days to get pics posted, Yes bsa1917hunter, it does look just like yours minus the peep. I was really impressed by the build quality on it, seems like very high quality rifle, action super smooth. The dealer had it priced at $699, got him down a little to $650, looks NIB to me .I was always a sucker for nice Winchester lever actions. Will try to get the pics up soon.
At $650, you did VERY well.

5-10 years ago, that rifle woulda fetched right around $1K. Hindsight being 20/20 or better...…….. I shoulda sold every one I had. Once in a while, I still think I could sell a guy a turn-key collection. Just not too often.

CONGRATS on picking up a great rifle !!!
