I didn’t know the 1894 was available from the factory with a black recoil pad. If so, wouldn’t the factory cut the stock to maintain the original LOP? Or is this seller trying to pull a fast one?

Probably after marker pad. Not original.

He doesn't have to fool everyone, just one.

Definitely an add-on, it is NOT a factory pad. It might not have been cut (13.5" LOP), but most likely it was redrilled for the new pad and possibly refinished. Don't think I'd pay that much even if the butt were original.

Pharmseller: That Rifle is about $400.00 over-priced!
Pad is NOT original.
I would shop elsewhere.
