The stocks I have painted look like warmed over Turkey Chitt, and I think they appeal to me more than the above Yellow, Black, and Red. I am prepping another to paint now, hopefully it comes out a little better. Rio7

I suggested to him that if I had another that I would consider the 7 colors of the rainbow in order. Maybe reverse order on the other side.

The stock sorta reminds me of some toned Morgan silver dollars that I used to own.

Id have gone orange and not red, because I dont like red.

Folks all have their owns preferences. Always preferred olive drab myself.......drab and boring as it is.

It's a 6.5-06 Ackley Improved. Killed lots of game with the cartridge, but this rifle is new. Stock is old, but I killed my first antelope with a different 6.5-06AI in this same stock when it was black. So I have to wait until this fall.

I like it if it matters. Sure wouldn't have to worry about grabbing the wrong gun off the rack at deer camp. Only thing is it better shoot well enough to wear that suit proudly.
