I've got a LH Scout in stainless/laminated. It is the ugliest rifle I own, by far!
No kidding. I had a lefty 223 for a while as well. Must have been a 2 a.m. design after a rough night of drinking. That adjustable LOP stock design is the stupidest piece of $hit Ruger has come up with. They carried it over to several different models when Boddington was with them and helped design it.
The one redeeming virtue was it had integral action scope mounts, the scout BS rail could be deleted, and Ruger would even send the correct filler screws for free. The threaded brake wasn't too much of an issue- a thread protector easily fixed that. But, it still looked like a horses ass, and didn't shoot much better. So, sold it and picked up a Ruger American 223 LH SS. That one shoots great and looks like a real rifle.
The Scout concept has sure F'd up a lot of good guns.
