Shortactionsmoker/Left Handed Tikka T3X 7-08. How about a special run of these in stainless/syn. I am sure you can get enough guys to get this done. What say you? Guys, make some noise.
They make them in Finland. They just don't import them.

Let me send some emails.....
If we're making requests getting Beretta to import some left hand 9.3x62 Tikkas would be high on my buy list.

We have better luck getting Beretta to import a lefty in 25-06.

Zastava makes a nice 9.3x62 in left hand. Commercial mauser action for under $800 CAD. Don't own one...yet.
While we are on the T3X "wish list"... A Left Hand Stainless Fluted 6.5x55 would be nice. Prefer a wood stock, but not picky. Willing to pay in advance and wait 12 to 24 months until it gets here...
I sent the email today. I may follow up with a few additions. I'll await his reply...

I'm in on the buy, depending on caliber...but ready to go.

Thank you...
depending upon caliber, i'm very interested, and interested in most deer calibers as well.
I'd take at least one 7mm-08 if not two. Currently shooting a RH Tikka T3x 7mm-08. Want a LH!
To hell with the standard t3 lite, let's see one in a T3x superlite... Just sayin..
LH CTR .260. And before I spend money on a Ruger Predator 6.5CM, please.
Interested

I second this, i wont discriminate though, any heavy barreled left SA 6.5 would do
Focus boys, grin. We are working on a run of 7-08's.
why not a Tikka lefty 6.5 Creed?
Yes why not the 6.5 Creed in a Tikka? For several years that is what we have asking for, Ruger finally made a LH in the RAR Predator, waiting on a Barret Fieldcraft LH 6.5 Cr Moor!
For my purposes, the CM will do everything a 7-08 would do for me.
A Finnish rifle in 6.5 should be a 6.5x55 SE anything else is unnatural. wink All Tikka's are long action may as well use it.
maybe one optimum solution would be to create a mixed bag of LH blue and SS rifles. probably too expensive to consider, but a variety of options, and let the buyers pick & choose.

i'd like to have a 6.5 creed, 7mm-08, or even a .308 or lastly a .223. they'd all work. choice is a wonderful thing.
You would think Beretta would understand there's at least some interest in the Tikka's that they don't import, and just bring in a couple shipments to an online retailer in the US. They could even charge another $100 premium and they would all still sell.

Beretta never fails to miss the obvious.....
They all seem to miss the obvious...........at least to us port siders. Why does Ruger refuse to make a lefty rimfire?

Beretta works diligently at this...
I'm in for a lefty Creed in any hunting configuration.
The email request was sent and we'll know something soon. I hope, they listen and give us an opportunity!

I do!

And several other members here and on Accurate Reloading also were on the group buy that went through a couple of years ago.

Wonderful CRF mauser actions. I do not care for the European style humpback stock, but that could always be changed as a small cost of getting a modest-priced real mauser forged steel action that you could shoot right away.

Add me to the list waiting for a T3x in 7mm-08. I'd take a Creed if I had to but much prefer a 7mm-08.
Another vote for a lefty 6.5 CM
Any updates?

PS: Whitaker’s has excellent prices on LH T3x’s, just placed an order for a stainless lite in .270.
Am real interested in what can be made available, 7-08 or 6.5 CM.
I'll ask for a response again this week. I put several rifles on the list that don't import, both left and right handed. I offered a commitment minimum of 500 rifles. I'd think that should get it done...
wow, that's a statement.
Did they just quit offering any SS T3x lefty’s? Or did their website have a stroke?
I am in need of a lightweight left hand 7mm-08 or 6.5 Creed for my daughter-in-law and I believe the Tikka lite or superlite stainless would be perfect. The rifle needs to be 6 lb or less.

I will follow this thread for future development.
Do you need a repeater? If not, the T/C Encore is extremely lightweight.

I had thought of the Encore but I think she will want a repeater. She shot her first deer this year with my son's rifle, a right handed Ruger 270 tanger, and he said that the weight was an issue with her holding the rifle up. She liked the experience so much that it appears we will have a new hunter in the family. Teaching her to use a rest is a good option also and may just be the best solution.

Thanks for the suggestion.
She should be shooting from sticks. Go get the new generation Primos trigger sticks (tripod). It will take the work out of shooting offhand. they are easily adjustable for height.

I second this! I use a Caldwell Fieldpod in the ground blind for my two sons. Works GREAT!
I'd be in for a lh 7mm-08. Would prefer a wood stock, but beggars can not be choosers

Yep...me too!!
Up for the 7-08 lefty.
I see the left hand CTR in .308 listed as an offering. Any chance that was part of the request to Tikka?
thanks

Just re-read this thread. I could live with a stainless fluted 6.5x55 as well. Left Hand bump going into the New Year...
My Dad's a leftie, he could use a light recoiling short action if we get a buy going.
The choice of dealing with more recoil or shooting from a rest is an annoying one. The more cumbersome option is the wise one, but who wants to deal with that?!

I'm going to get either a Ruger Predator or Tikka CTR in a 6.5mm in 2018. I would much prefer the Tikka in .260 or 6.5x55.
Any word on this I want a LH Tikka 6.5 CR Moor !!!!!
Its been almost 3 months since this topic started. I am guessing it is now dead in the water since there hasn't been any updates?

The shot show just ended, the manufacturers will need a few months to ship new products and calibers.

I didn't realize this thread was started in anticipation of what Tikka might or might not be announcing at the Shot Show.
The Tikka T3X "lefty" has been cataloged in 6.5 Creedmoor.... now we wait until Tikka makes a production run.
finally
Got cash money and I am ready!
I'll have to have one as if the 6.5 CM shoots like a standard T3, it'll be scary good.

The line will begin to form behind you.

If Whittaker's continues their pricing on T3x rifles into 2018 then it would sell considerably cheaper than that. They are more than $200 under that price on current T3x stainless lite models.
I am in for a 6.5 Creed or a 7mm08, whichever I can get first, in a lite stainless left hand. Will be following the progress made by Shortactionsmoker.

Darrik send me a "PM" saying they would not be getting the T3X "Light" in 6.5 in left hand as the lite model was an exclusive with Sportsman Wharehouse. I am not sure that makes sense as other dealers have the lefty lite 6.5 Creed listed on Gunbroker. HMMM!! I would prefer the T3X lite model myself.
Been checking prices on a new SS 6.5 Creed Moor barrel on my LH Rem 700 in 308 Win about $650, about what I can sell it for. I am going to wait for the Tikka.

It is my understanding that the "Superlight" is a Sportsman Warehouse exclusive, but I could be wrong.

I hope your right. Hopefully, Darrik will catch this thread with the correct answer if Whittakers will be shipped the T3X "Lite" model.
Any word on this? Is the lefty 7mm-08 dead?
We will be getting left hand T3X Lites in 6.5 Creedmoor. They’re due by April 18th....maybe sooner.

I met with them at SHOT about importing models that were currently made for the European market. The verdict is still out.

Superlite’s (black stock, stainless) are a Sportsman’s Warehouse exclusive. Cabelas receives a camo/stainless superlite as their exclusive.

I’m going to be totally honest here — if you look at our pricing on the stainless T3X Lites and compare it to the the stainless Superlite’s, you’ll see a big difference in the pricing. I have no desire to play in that arena and jockey for position for the exclusive. That’s a bunch of money for a few flutes!

I’ll go back through this thread today and address other questions.
Darrik,

Please post when you have the "pre-order" up for the Tikka on Whittakers website.
