I'm going to regret not buying this but I surely don't need it. Seems to be a GREAT buy??

At least I "think" it's a KS.....I'd feel better if I could see if there were rifled sights removed and screws installed. Sure looks like one?

Maybe an FS?

I don't know; the chambering/caliber stamp, barrel profile and stock scream KS the more I look at it......

Looks like a KS matte blue finish, like my 280 KS, same style caliber stamp KK initials I should buy it!

At that price, don't see how you could go wrong. Action and stock worth more than that.

I was drooling over that one yesterday when I spotted it. Price is right as well. But, doesn't fit with the program (herd thinning). However, the thought of sending it to Douglass to have a 6.5x55 or (gasp) 6.5 CM barrel duplicated off the original is tempting... smile

I'm pretty sure it's a KS. The serial number starts with a C which I believe signifies coming out of the custom shop. Both of my KS Mtns start with a C in the serial number. The stock and barrel profile look right for a KS. If you don't buy it I'll be sorely tempted to myself.

Sir, Knock yourself out. I've got it's twin, also in .270, that has been passed around the "Camp Fire". About as good an "all around" rifle I figure I'll find for the lower 48. Don't really need "another" .270...

Of course, I didn't really NEED the .375H&H I bought back a few weeks ago, either... laugh ... Yeah, I've got it bad.

Thinned my herd down and liking my 6.5-284 a lot. This would be a great rig for someone without a quality lefty for sure. Or for those who don't have enough quality lefties lol.

So, who got it?
Posted By: Orion2000 Re: Lefty KS .270 - 12/03/19
Not me... Tempted to call to see if it was still available this afternoon. But, ran out of time...

ETA: Rebarreled to a 1:8" twist, KS contour .243 Win or .22 Creed would not be bad either...

I didn’t buy it either. Owned my share of Rem 700’s in the past and they all been replaced by Tikkas

Wife has a 270 LH BDL with a recoil pad, serial # begins with a C. I don't know any reason it would have been a custom shop gun.
It is a late 80s or early 90s gun, I don't recall the exact date but it was made before Dupont sold the company in 93.

100% KS

I didn’t buy it. I just bought a bucket list gun and decided not to follow my impulsive nature on this one. Good score for whoever bought it.

It is a KS and I did not buy it.

Have 2 LH Rem 700,s in 06 and 270 McMillion Stocks with SS Rem TI take off barrels. Both shoot extremely well.

Don't need or want any more LH rifles. I need to sell some! Mostly use my LH 6.5 Creedmoor and LH
35 Whelen.

This is where I am at. 2 6.5x47 lapuas and a 9.3x62. Well there is a 6.5-284 in there also. But I don't want or need more.

My problem is even at 60, there's still more left handed rifles I want. It's a sickness I'm sure. I have a left handed Charles Daly action, 06 base sitting on the bench that I just recently acquired. Bought it without any idea what I'm going to build but I'll get inspired I'm sure.
