I'm headed over to the show this morning and will spend the better part of the next 3 days looking for LH rifles and shotguns. If there's something you want me to look for, pm me and I'll do my best to find it.
I'll try to report something newsworthy daily.
Sig.
I'm really curious to find out what you see. Like usual, I have no real expectations of anyone coming out with a LH, quality, factory mountain rifle, but you never know.
Big Thanks.....I don't hear of ANY new Lefties 2020. Was hoping Bergara would offer LH Sporters but don't see any in 2020 catalog. Any new McMillan patterns that will be inlet for LH would be great.
I’m always hopeful that someone such as Winchester, Kimber or Barrett will announce left handed models but I am not holding my breath.
I would be interested to hear if manners will be offering their ultra classic in left hand anytime soon!

According to the guys in the Bergara booth, the HMR is the only LH offering available "right now". I was led to believe there will be other models available, going forward but that's a real subjective time frame.

Went by the Manners booth but didn't get a chance to ask about models. I'll try to get back there tomorrow.
Browning has a pretty good lineup of LH hunter models, beginning with the 223 in a 1-9 twist. I have not seen the SHOT Show specials but was told they are on the website.
The best news I got today was that the "Select you Tikka" website will go live within a few months. According to the guys in the Beretta booth, if the model you want is made in Finland, you can get it here, through your local Sako select dealer. I think this is a brilliant move that will allow left hand shooters a chance to get a rifle they want and not be held captive by what Beretta USA brings in.

Good news indeed ^^^^^^^
If you make it back to the Manners booth, please inquire about a Left Hand UC... Thank you !
Why can't Browning make a dang left hand composite? A lot of good caliber options but not one in a synthetic.
The Tikka select your rifle is already in the Tikka website
Ken, I was told it was being tested but it sounds like it may be further along than what they said. Thanks for the update.

I'll do it.

I expect we can safely remove Kimber & Barrett from that list.
Interested in your report!! And it was good seeing you at DSC!

Left Hand Browning T-Bolts in 22LR, 17 HMR & 22 Mag are also Shot Show specials. They are not shown in the 2020 catalog. I suspect we will see very limited availability of them so if you have one on your mind, don't dilly dally.
Any LH 6.5 PRC please let us know saw you posted about the Browning X Bolt. Thanks Kurt
How does Browning heavy sporter contour compare to Ruger American Predator?

I bought one before, didn't like it due to the ejection port.
Did they ever change it so brass was ejected on the left side?

Just checked the website. Looks like it still ejects to the right.

No, it still ejects to the right. Cheaper to manufacture that way.

I talked to a guy today who's company will begin making composite stocks for the Browning X Bolt. I told him LH models are important and he agreed.
www.iotaoutdoors.comHe is also the President of Horizon rifles. They will make you about anything you want in a LH model.

We will see some new calibers from CA this summer. I anticipate some long action calibers and some magnum calibers. They would not be more specific.

Yes, the Hunter Long Range is available in the 6.5 PRC.
How does Browning heavy sporter contour compare to Ruger American Predator?
I didn't really look at it enough to be able to say. Best to call each manufacturer and get some measurements.

Great news.
Does anyone know if the left hand tikka t1 ever came out overseas?
And I just got an email from Manners stating they have no plans of making the ultra classic in left hand
I was unaware the T1x was offered in a LH configuration in Finland.

Derrick is a great guy! Company is located here in Texas- he was most helpful on the phone and has a wealth of knowledge. I think he is also the one to thank for really bringing the 22CM to market-- he and his guys probably have more experience than most others combined with that cartridge.
Great news on CA bringing some lefty options to the table-- but might delay some plans I've had....
Lastly- with this Tikka build option-- any idea if Sako will have a similar set up?? I like what I see with the Sako 85 Hunter- LH, and online there is an option for iron sights as well but I can't seem to find it offered anywhere in the US of A.
A left hand t1x was announced maybe 6 months ago. I have no idea what has happened since then as I have never heard anymore about it

That would be a great option.

According to what I'm told, the Sako set up is already up and running. You might give it a practice run to see if it's live.

Sounds like they are following the MRC business model in the regard.
Doesn't look live on either yet unless I missed something-- they have the 'model selector' but that is just a filter function and I didn't see anything about ordering other than the link to Beretta USA. Will check back later.
We'll need to keep checking back I'm sure.
Agreed on the composite lefty from Browning. A true short action, lightweight would certainly be on my bucket list.

OSU_Sig,
Emailed CA about the LH 6.5prc. Reply was no more lefty calibers are planned. Hope i got that reply from an itern or janitor and not someone in the know.
Really knocks my hat in the creek if that’s plans of CA.
Does anyone make a LH semi auto 20 ga ultra lite? That little Benelli is sweet.

That is much different than what I was told at SHOT and SCI. I guess we'll see.
