Can anyone recommend a gunsmith that is familiar with german drillings. My recentenly aquired Greifelt drillings second trigger will not fire. Help!

If no help here, I'd ask on the forum www.doublegunshop.com/BBS. Several guys there who have asked the same and got answers (I just don't remember WHAT the answers were....).

I had some work done by Bachelder in MI. Rebuilt the hammer on one of my drillings. The rifle striker on the hammer was worn at an angle and the hammer was loose on the shaft, when firing the rifle the hammer would slip off the rifle transfer bar and continue down and hit the shotgun firing pin.. He built up the face rifle striker on the hammer and the hole in the hammer and refitted it to the shaft and it looks just like was never used in the first place. Great work.

I got the recommendation from the guys over at doublegun.

I have had work done by JJ at Champlin Arms and by Ken and Bob at PISCO (as recommended to me by Luv2Safari). Both shops are excellent. These are the only shops I trust with my German guns.

Lee LeBas is back in business. I'll be seeing him soon for lunch and will get his contact information to you.

Ken at PISCO can probably fix you up, also, and they get things done and out at decent prices. He did a good job on a bunch of little things needing repairs on the Gladbach cape gun in my Classifieds ad just posted.
