Some cashflow needed for the little farming venture here sees this one out of the safe, and on on the block.

"Rolled Steel", "Machine Made" Belgian,...NOT proofed for nitro.

VERY STRONG rifling, 12 bore shows pitting, and would look good as a 16 or 20 reline, certainly shootable as is.

very,VERY good condition for it's age, and asking price, $1500.

Hard to get all the superlatives in a row,....

Lively in ones hands ? Hell yes.

Super nice wood, structurally and mechanically speaking, in other words no splits where usually found ? ...indeed.

Screaming to be hunted? better believe it.

A very solid hunter's piece, this one, JUST THE WAY IT currently SITS.

PM or call for more details

It seems I recall the Parkhurst shotguns had a long tapered choke that ran most of the barrel?? Or is my memory wrong? Wouldn't be the first time:)

I think you're right, and will bore gauge this one to verify. The "Greener System" of using a tapered mandrel was actually brainstormed by Issac Hollis, I think. That old Hollis & Sons 10 Gauge is certainly so blessed.

This one didn't stay on the block long ,.....SOLD American ! grin

Looks like I'll maybe get to participate in it's rejuvenation, though.
HMMMmmm, that tapered mandrel barrel is going to make a reline interesting,...No ?

Nice !!! grin I had a 8 gauge Parkhurst double once ,i think it weighed around 15 LBS! but i got talked out of it by a co-worker ! frown
Wish I had a gun tree!
Don't know about a reline, but a chamber insert would work for $20 and no effort.

Had to graft a Winchester to a Purdey to get this variety.
Does well in zones 4 to 6.
