I need a real short LOP and can't see using a camp gun. I would like to do some range bull, feral hogs, and water buffalo hunting as well as wild camel, donkey or any thing else I can. I think I want to bring along a 9.3X62 or a Remington 675 350 Rem Mag. They are (tech term) midgetized for me. I'm not sure the difficulty is worth it though. If I could find a useable rifle at a hunting camp I might go the easy route. Any ideas here? This is the second time I asked it. I lost the last one and it may be on another forum. TIA, Be Well, Rustyzipper.

find out what the "camp gun" is, buy a laminate stock to fit the gun "midgetize" it, mail it to the outfitter well in advance of your hunt and he can swap it out for you.

Laminate because they are cheap and tough enough to handle the mailing process.

Would that work?

How hard is it to send your rifle to the outfitter? I have cut down on paperwork for South Africa by "gifting" a couple rifles I had previously set up for my own use. My friend had the License and such all worked out and I just left the rifles there.

It's not at all difficult to shorten a stock. A Table saw is all one needs and usually someone locally has one. Add a recoil pad afterwards, Clean the glue joint with acetone to remove wood oils and epoxy the pad to the stock....grind on a disc sander to fit.
