Pretty sure I've only got cleanup, splitting asparagus, and diggin' some horseradish.

Last night/this morning was cold enough, long enough to even kill stuff in the greenhouse.

Still have some fall bulbs to plant in the flower beds too.

Now maybe I can get to some other projects I have going.
Yes indeed, sad. I posted our last tomatoes on the food section.
Richard, I reduced the last of my tomatoes, picked over the last couple of days, to sauce today:

Just quit sending me your weather already.... supposed to be ZERO tomorrow night.... It's too early for that. We're supposed to get the first cold snap at Halloween wink.
Early freezes up north, drought in the southwest, fires in the west...

We need the next El Nino to come on in. Soon.
Barry, 1984's El Nino was the worst year of my life.
Sheesh.....the gardens have been gone here for over a month.
We had the first frost back then, but being as how it's California, we've also had a lot of 50 degree swings. Lately, just 40 degree swings.

Finally pulled the plug on the who shebang, got other things to do.

Dutch, it's not MY weather. Someone up north keeps sending it to me, and no moisture from the SW or even the NW yet.

rockin, was just thinking the same thing. I need a good wet spring because this winter is not looking good for rain/snow. Maybe we can get dumped on with some good wet snow in Feb/Mar and then some rain in April.
