I stopped going when we rented the farm out.

I quit when mine expired several years ago. I have in-laws that have theirs, so I'm good.
Down here they call it an Applicator License. Different classes... Private, Commercial... Insecticide, herbicide... I even got certified on M44's for predator control.
Probably don't need any of it anymore, but can still apply private stuff.
I do a couple production meetings every year just for the pesticide credits.
