i was walking around the back-yard the other day and sort of noticed that the South Saskatchewan River was there. Got me thinking that a river turbine might be a way for free electricity. I'm not sure of the water velocity but it seldom freezes above 40 below. Anyone have any experience with that sort of thing?

The city of Ferriday, La., uses a hydroelectric plant that is anchored in the Miss. River.

I had what I thought was a great idea for a hydroelectric plant, but the land owner wouldn't sell me the land I needed. I wouldn't tell him what I wanted the land for.
