Never been good at repairing anything. Have an Echo CS-400 chainsaw that gets used several times a week. The screw device that keeps the chain tensioned broke a week ago. Went to Echo website a looked up repair parts and then went to site called ereplacement parts and ordered the parts. Got them in today. Pulled the side plate off the saw and replaced the parts, used a new side plate and only two old parts. Did it on the kitchen table, way too easy, only needed a small Philips. Gave myself a pat on the back.
I'm using one of those, nice saw. I have read where people remove the catalytic converter out of the muffler, then pull the carb adjustment limiters off, and readjust for a richer mixture, and the run like a bat-out-o-hell.

I haven't done it yet, mine is still under warranty.
Good job and congrats....by internet standards you're now a chainsaw expert.....
Feels good no to pay someone. $100, for $10 worth of work. Cool beans
