Along the lines of the Podunk threads. There are three stop lights in our county seat town, non in any other towns.
None in our county seat town. It's not very big.
No stop lights in the county seat town, six in the county. No roundabouts either.
One flashing red light at the intersection of a US and a State highway.

I rarely have to stop for more than one or two vehicles in line.

Geno
I live on the county line, and the county that I reside in has a town of about 35,000. It has a number of stoplights. The other county has only one stoplight in the entire county.

Not a one in Montgomery county, Arkansas, that I know of.
We probably have 10's of thousands. Plus some of them have red light cameras on them.

We've got lots of roundabouts here.....

'roundabout 1993 I moved away.
'roundabout 2000 I moved back.
'roundabout the time I moved back I started building fences. I figure I'll be finished building/rebuilding fences 'roundabout the time I die.
...lots more 'roundabouts besides those.
Not one unless it is a temporary for bridge work, Louisa County Iowa

none in our county seat, 3 stop lights in the town I live in.
We don’t have counties.
No counties Mike? It can't get much more Podunk than that.
We have boroughs. Kenai peninsula borough is about the same size as the state of New Jersey.

I'm not aware of a single stop and go light in Ozark County Missouri.

We do have a few stop signs. crazy

Now, in Houston? I have about 30 between my house and office...13 miles.
When I started driving we had eight in the county.
All in towns.
Now we have around 22. Spread out.
I have to go through 3 to get to work.
It sucks.

This place is getting way too crowded.

one stop light in county.......

10K population total

4500 square miles

No stop lights in a two county area. Elk County, KS., has a population of less than 5 per sq. mile. We have 10 people living in a 50 sq mile radius of our home.

LOL......they built one over in Lewiston about a year ago.....stupidest thing I've ever seen.
They recently finished another one.....I haven't seen it yet but I'm sure it's no better than the first one.

We don't even have a road where I live. More brown bears than humans.

That's poetry.

On the subject of stop lights - remember the days when they were timed so that when one set changed to red, the other set immediately changed to green?
2 in the whole county.

I absolutely abhor those things. Fuggin Limey invention I think, probably payback for losing that little altercation back in the 1770's.
Seen a couple in a few bigger places, they're starting to look like something in London or Rome, a-whole drivers zooming around cutting everyone else off.

I went by one of the intersections the other day and where there use to be 1 stop light, now there are 8.... 2 facing each direction of the intersection, so now the parish has 6 stop lights.

But the 2 new lights do not signal traffic in our parish.
None in Highland Co. VA. Population 2200, 416 sq miles.
On a side note, our hick county has over 800 miles of gravel roads.

I'm not sure how many miles of gravel were in Buena Vista County when I was there, but I remember that they actually plowed all of them at that time.
