Sam, I agree. Those spears went in awfully easy..... good tight coastal bermuda rolls and the spears dont go in so easy. Dont think that rig would work too well in the hills and terraces, either.

You get to running as fast as he was in the hills and dales, and things could get sporty.

Aren't many places you could load that thing up, and get it to the farm here.

Kinda looked lime he was rocking a tad as it was.

Square bales and a Hay Squeeze.....problem solved.

Charlie, but the rounds roll out so much smoother......

We put up both big squares, and big rounds.

For highway transport and storage(under a roof) the big squares would be nice.


For feeding and outdoor storage we prefer round bales.
(1500-1800 pounders)


Not to mention the balers are cheaper and take less horsepower.

Got a smaller bale to try and rolled across the trucking company scales with and without.
642 pounds.

I could almost pick it up and move it!

Yeah, the round bales I use are north of 1500 pounds.

You don't just throw a hay hook in 'em and stack them...
