Got warm enough to grow a bit of grass here.

The cow pies are green again! grin

Sure glad to see it! Maybe I can slack off on feeding them every bite now...

It has been a good week. It even dried out enough so that I could get my tractor out of the olive farm that had been there since last September...

It started raining and got so wet and stayed that way. Couldn't drive my pickup in and hook on the gooseneck to bring it home until now.

Only thing I'm afraid of now is when it stops raining, sometimes it can stay that way for way too long. shocked

You guys looking at a good spring?

Well we had a blizzard last Wednesday. Power out, roads close drifts 6-7 feet tall. Hurricane Cat II winds 80-100 mph. Trees blown down. One on top of my barn. No green here for sure

Damn.

I've seen snow in mid April in the mountains where I used to live.

Hope it ends sooner than that for y'all.

Took this pic at the front gate yesterday.

We still have some greening yet to come. But things are improving a bit.

Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brush flowers are the early ones here.

That looks nice Barry, it will be some time before it greens up here. A warm, early spring can be a sign of a hot, dry season coming.

Hit 50* here yesterday. Forecast is highs in upper 40s all week - about 15* above normal.

Snow is going fast.

Plowing slush yesterday and ripping ice w back blade.

Maple trees are budding, daffodils are up and blooming. Forsythia bushes are starting to turn yellow, a weeping willow down the road is turning green.

It's trying to green up here. I put nitrogen on the pasture and hay ground last week, and they're starting to show a little response. The rain has slacked off some, and the sun has been shining, drying the ground out. All we need are temps in 60's and 70's during the day, and below freezing at night, and grass will jump. I've already seen some people mowing their lawns, and I could probably go over mine and hit the high spots, if I was looking for something to do.
