I am taking the family to Dollywood next weekend and will be staying in Sevierville with close access to the Little Pigeon Rives and Gists Creek.
There's supposed to be decent smallmouth fishing there and I'd love to give it a shot. Has anyone here fished this area?
Thanks!
Years ago, mid 90’s, I caught some nice smallmouth on the creek that runs through Seiverville and empties into the French broad. It runs next to Wilderness of the Smokies water park. It was shallow enough to wade but check the regulations now. I used creek chubs and split shot.
Years before a watched Jerry McKinnis fish the same spots on his fishing show “The fishing hole”.
Check out ”fishing the little pigeon river” on YouTube. Good info

That's excellent news as we'll be staying at the water park for 3 nights. I'll let you know how it goes!
Watching some of those videos now.
Thanks!
