I've used it - much prefer power pro over it. Came off the reel nicer and seemed to have much less "memory".

PP is all I use these days.

I had trouble keep a knot tied with the early Spider Wire that we used. I much preferred Fireline ever since.

PowerPro or SeaKnight Mantser W8 are my go-to. Haven’t used Spiderwire 20 years…

That SeaKnight Manster W8 is the best braid I have ever used on a baitcaster, by far!

Just call me an elderly monofilament user.
I used some spider wire (?) some years ago
and didn't like the way it cut into itself on
the reel spool. I also especially didn't like the
way it would deeply cut into my hand if I
grabbed the line. Just went back to monofilament
after I used up the last of the braid.
Never really had a problem with the monofilament
I used in the first place.
