Visiting SD over the holidays and took my Grandson ice fishing. Fished Jenny's gulch on Pactola reservoir and the backside of Deerfield lake. Caught 10 nice fat trout - Grandson caught one Brown trout over 21".

The Blackhills have some decent fishing.

I bet I could ask 100 people about south Dakota ice fishing and not one would say anything about trout. I'm glad you had a good time. Sounds like some really nice fish. I fish SD a lot in the summer but not much in the winter.
