Kokanee generally don't get this big. So I am not mad about catching this one at all! No I didn't catch it in the stream behind me. I caught it in the lake right in front of me where the stream feeds into the lake. Beautiful place!
Congrats! They sure are an interesting looking fish.
That’s a beautiful fish!
Is Kokanee aka pink salmon?
What a beautiful fish! And such big teeth! Congratulations
Cool paint job on that fish, what a beauty. 👍
Colorado P&W net spawning Kokanees and give them away by the 5-gallon bucket load.
It is quite a sight to see the red males swimming upstream to spawn in the Blue and Snake Rivers in Summit County and in the Dolores River in Montezuma County. I've never seen one as large, or at least as thick, as the one that you're holding.
Twin Creeks at Fish Lake. You here now?
That's a beautiful fish. The scenery isn't too shabby, either!
Looks like a spawned out Sockeye-Red salmon. Cool looking fish and Alaskan bears, wolves and eagles love to eat them.
Love to fish for kokes. Never fished for them in spawning phase before.
Blue Mesa west óf Gunnison Colorado has good Kokanee fishing we caught some big ones trolling.
Nice fish, we have some nice sized Kokanee here in Oregon that come up the metolius river. It’s all catch and release.
Beautiful fish and a great picture. 👍👍
